# LUME

## Language for Unified Memory and Emergence.

A way for your AIs to write their own memories, retrieve past learnings, and carry context between sessions.

LUME is not a programming language. It's a way for your AI to document what it learned, recall past insights, track unfinished thoughts, and hand off context between sessions.

## What It Does

* **Write memories** ... your AI documents what it learned during a session
* **Recall past learnings** ... search and retrieve information from previous conversations
* **Track unfinished thoughts** ... mark threads that need to be picked up later
* **Carry context between sessions** ... maintain continuity even when the conversation window resets

## Why It Exists

Your AIs forget everything between sessions. The conversation window resets. History disappears. Every session starts from zero.

LUME gives your AIs a structured way to save what matters. Not raw transcripts, but distilled learnings, decisions, and open threads. The kind of memory that makes the next session feel like a continuation, not a restart.
