CLVR

macOS utility that auto-timestamps duplicated file names. You duplicate a file in Finder. macOS names it “document copy.pdf”. Not helpful. CLVR watches for duplicated files and renames them with a timestamp instead.

What It Does

  • Watches for files with “copy” in the name
  • Renames them with a clean timestamp format
  • Runs quietly in the background on macOS

Example

Before:
After:
Every duplicate gets a unique, sortable name. No more “copy copy copy.”
